We have our first online contest winner

Our first competition "write 100 words on Summer Holidays Of My Dream" was closed on the 25th of May.

The response to this contest was immense. We had a tough time coming to a decision. From all the entries we received, we found Elsa El Osta's article was the one that deserved the prize. ELSA EL OSTA, is a 10 year old from the garden city of UAE, Al Ain.She studies in the INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF CHOUEIFAT, AL AIN. She has entered our Hall Of Fame. Invitation for Brainstorm 2006 – The premier interschool festival

It gives me great pleasure to invite you and your brilliant team for the inaugural Brainstorm 2006 - a festival that Celebrates Intelligence. Projected to be the premier festival for all school kids in the UAE, brainstorm 2006 is organized by Trix Corporation under the patronage of the Ministry Of Education, UAE.

The essential idea behind the festival is to gather the gifted and talented brains for grueling sessions of no-holds-bar competitions, where we pitch students from schools all over the country against each other. Spanning 2 full days having 7 competitions in 2 themes- Science and Arts – Brainstorm 2006 is open to any student between the ages of 7 to 17. All the competitions will have an element of fun involved and the students will fight it out for some unbelievable prizes that total nearly to AED 500,000!

Registrations for the festival have already started and the forms can be downloaded from the official website, www.brainstormfest.com. The completed forms must reach the below mentioned address on or before 14th September 2006. 'We are going for a World Record!'

In tune with the Encore, Trix Corporation maxim – 'Either do it big, or do it bigger' – Brainstorm 2006 is going to attempt an unique record. The aim is to create the longest message board ever by school kids. The attempt will definitely be a major highlight of the festival and we invite everyone to be part of another history in the making.

The attempt is scheduled for the finals – the 2 main days in October when the grand finale for Brainstorm 2006 will take place. The venue and the exact date will be announced later. As of now, the organizers are having long discussions with the concerned authorities, both locally and internationally, on the procedures on executing this amazing feat.

'The message board will be the longest in the world – and we invite all kids in the UAE to be part of history. We welcome one and all to come forward and write their message of love, peace and harmony. At the present tense situations around the world, this is our small gesture to the world that all is not lost in the quest for a peaceful world,' Hafnia Karim, Member of the Trix Corporation.

Registration officialy starts on Saturday, May 13th 2006.

The registration for the inaugural Brainstorm 2006 will officialy start from Saturday, 13th May 2006.

'Ideally we wanted to start the registration with the launch, but unfortunately there was a small issue which had to be tackled and eliminated. Now everything is behind us and we are ready to do the jamboree!' quotes Zerin Umer, Member of the Trix Corporation.

Registration can only be done through schools. The forms can be downloaded from the official website for the festival and filled, signed and retuned to the organizers. The last date for receiving the completed registration form is 14 September, 2006. The selections will begin the consequent week.

'Unlike how it was planned earlier, there will be NO registration fees whatsoever, at any point of time,' says Fatima Sultan, Head of Competitions, Ministry of Education. Although there will not be any registration fees for the competitions, the number of entries per school will be limited.

Ministry Of Education approves Brainstorm 2006

The Ministry of education today approved Brain Storm 2006, the premium interschool festival for all kids in the UAE, speaking on occasion Miss Fathima Sultan,Head of competitions,Ministry Of Education said "The MOE is very proud to be part of the whole festival".
