General Rules And Regulations
1.Official language of the Festival is English 2.The decisions of the jury is final. Participation in a contest entails acceptance of the regulations. 3.Deadline for receiving registration is 15th September 2006. 4.All Safety precautions for the projects will be the responsibility of the Student 5.No hazardous materials should be used
Competition Rules
S1-Event: Best Science Project of the year
1.The competitions will include two different categories: - Junior Category(7-13 years) - Senior Category(13-17 years) 2.Only the works chosen by the preselection jury will be presented at the final venue. Judges’ decisions will be final. 3.Any apparatus deemed unsafe by the Scientific Review Committee, the Display and Safety Committee will not be allowed to be displayed 4.Grand Awards Judging is conducted using a 100-point scale with points assigned to creative ability, scientific thought, team work, thoroughness, skill, and clarity 5.The organizers will provide 120/240V power supply and a display table
S2-Event: Best Paper Presentation of the year
1.The competitions will include two different categories: - Junior Category(7-13 years) - Senior Category(13-17 years) 2.Students can present papers on any one of the topics in the list(the list will be updated later) 3.Four copies of papers should be sent in the form of computer printout in A4 Size sheets only 4.Four copies of the abstract should be sent.Elimination will be done on the basis of abstracts.Only the works chosen by the preselection jury will be presented at the final venue. Its decisions will be final. 5.Participants whose papers are shortlisted shall be informed through the schools as well the names will be put up on the website. 6.Oral Presentation should should not be more than 5 min. followed by 2 min Q&A session for each group 7.You are suggested not to read the script while presenting. 8.Grand Awards Judging is conducted using a 100-point scale with points assigned to creative ability, scientific thought,presentation techniques, thoroughness, skill, and clarity 9.Organizers will provide a computer and projector for presentation purpose 10.20 Individuals will be selected for the final presentation
S3-Event: Young Inventor of the year
1.The competitions will include two different categories: - Junior Category(7-13 years) - Senior Category(13-17 years) 2.Only the works chosen by preselection jury will be presented at the final venue. Its decisions will be final. 3.An Actual working device/Gadget should be designed and developed by the individual 3.Any apparatus deemed unsafe by the Scientific Review Committee, the Display and Safety Committee will not be allowed to be displayed 4.Grand Awards Judging is conducted using a 100-point scale with points assigned to creative ability, scientific thought,team work, thoroughness, skill, and clarity 5.The organizers will provide 120/240V power supply and a display table 6.The individual will be given 15 minutes to show and explain about the device/gadget 7.The First 3 Winners will get to showcase their gadget on the stage on the final day of the event 8.20 individuals will qualify for the finals.
A1-Event: Best Speaker of the year
1.The competitions will include two different categories: - Junior Category(7-13 years) - Senior Category(13-17 years) 2.There will be an element of surprise at the venue. The Topic will be given 2 minutes before the speaker gets on the dais. 3.Each Speaker should not exceed 4 minutes. 4.Only the students chosen by the preselection jury will participate at the final venue. Judges’ decisions will be final. 5.20 individuals will qualify for the finals.
A2-Event: Best Debate Team of the year
1.The competitions will include two different categories: - Junior Category(7-13 years) - Senior Category(13-17 years) 2.Each Team shall consist of 2 students. 3.There will be an element of surprise at the venue. The Topic will be given 2 minutes before the speaker gets on the dais. 4.Each Speaker should not exceed 3 minutes. 5.Only the students chosen by the preselection jury will participate at the final venue. Judges’ decisions will be final. 6.20 teams will qualify for the finals.
A3-Event: Brand Wars
1.The competitions will include two different categories: - Junior Category(7-13 years) - Senior Category(13-17 years) 2.Each Team shall consist of 5 students. 3.Each Team will be alloted a unique brand on a lot basis at the final venue. 3.Grand Awards Judging is conducted using a 100-point scale with points assigned to TV Ad,Print Ad,Radio Ad,Campaign Ad,creative ability and team work 4.The TV Ad is to be enacted on stage within 1 minute. 5.Only the teams chosen by the preselection jury will participate at the final venue. Judges’ decisions will be final. 6.7 teams will qualify for the finals.
Event of the year: THE AVIATOR
1.The competitions will be held only in the Senior Category(13-17 years) 2.Each Team shall consist of 5 students. 3.Each school can register only 1 Team. 4.Only the teams chosen by the preselection jury will participate at the final venue. Judges’ decisions will be final. 5.Grand Awards Judging is conducted using a 100-point scale with points assigned to creative ability, scientific thought,team work,weight of the launch craft,number of parts of the launch craft, thoroughness, skill, and clarity 6.The egg will be provided by the organizers 7.25 teams will qualify for the finals.
